In addition animals made "after their kind." How can something be made after, unless something similar existed before? Is Genesis short for genetic engineering? Is rib short for ribonucleic acid?

I would like to inform you, Ignoramus:
That the Bible says the plan of redemption was planned before the world was created.
Take a look at the creation story--all creatures were made from the dust or spoken into existence--except Eve.
Why, further in the Bible you discover that God likens his church to a woman (bride).
So, in Creating Adam, Eve was not created like others. Instead:
Adam was put to sleep (death is called sleep in the Bible). Then He made a wound in Adam's side--there was Adam's bride.
From that wound in Jesus's, God will receive His bride, too. Yes, the creation narrative reveals the remedy for sin, even before sin entered this world.
There are much more analagies, they are there to confuse the proud.

Don't go getting all scientific and logical or you'll lose your target audience.
They work in illogical realms exclusively. Faith, by definition, is an illogical belief in something.
