I agree, your cat does in fact have worms. The others are correct in saying that they get them from eating fleas. Take kitty to the vet, but while you and kitty are at the vet you should probably treat your home for fleas. It does no good to get rid of the worms that your cat has if she comes home to more fleas and more flea eggs. This is by no means a reflection on you however, it is very easy for fleas to invade your home. Flea eggs can lay dormant for years, and all they need is the right type of sound or vibration to hatch them. But be unafraid, your kitty will be fine, it is very easy to treat.

Yes, cats gets worms, and your 'squigglies' are the indicaton that she/he has them. I would recommend Revolution (get it from a vet). It is a stripe-on-the-back medicine that cures fleas, ear mites, heart worms, and hook worms, and round worms at the same time. Here it cost $14. You put it on every 2 weeks at first, then once a month (especially during flea season!). If you don't treat your cat, it will slowly starve to death because the worms are eating the food that the cat is eating.

ONLY a vet can determine the type of worms the cat has.
Do *NOT* rely on the over the counter stuff, since you may end up with the wrong med and some are not very safe.
Time for that vet appt. it should be fairly easy to clear up and clean the litter box daily til the problem is rectified, bc a cat can reinfect itself thru the contaminated litterbox.
I agree with jignutty.

Cats can get worms from the mice that they eat. The other person was right about fleas, because they carry worm eggs.
If you don't go to the vet, at least buy the worm medicine in a store.

Yes! Your cat has worms. If you check their stool, you will probably see the white worms mixed in the stool. You can buy dewormer from a local store, they work, but for faster results, but bring to vet.

yes, cats can get worms. Roundworm or tapeworm, depends on its looks, as in its name.
Deworming medicine works. If you want a more natural way, garlic or neem oil works as well. Both have antibiotic properties.
