I am having trouble entering my product key to install Microsoft 2003. When i enter it, it comes up with a message that I have entered the key in wrong. I look at it and it is right when I am entering it in. What can I do either buy a new Product key for Microsoft 2003 or just call for assistance to obtain a new product key? The one I am entering is XKXCC-TYJTG-9M2HR-P79DB-GKTBJ.I keep entering it and it says invalid. What am I doing wrong?

The key has to be entered very specifically, that is, the exact number of characters as allowed per box. It has been my experience that MS has this configured such that the cursor automatically jumps to the next box when enough characters have been entered.

I'm sorry to suggest this - but where did you buy your product? From a legitimate seller? Are you sure the CD is legitimate?

You had better call for assistance and give the key number. Hopefully, they will have access to the information and can tell you immediately if your CD is or is not legal.

If it turns out that it is not legal, gather the sales slip, order number, whatever you have and contact the seller.

Well, for gosh sake, why would you put your product key out here for millions of people to see? Call Microsoft at the number below and talk to them. I've had Office 2003 installed since 2003, and Microsoft just informed me that it is an illegal copy. Of course, if it's illegal, you can't get updates, which I've gotten consistently since installation. So, don't depend on the accuracy of the registration form.

You can contact Customer Service by phone Monday through Friday, 8 A.M. to 10 P.M. (Eastern Time), at (888) 218-5617.
