Palm Sunday was the time when Jesus entered into Jerusalem to begin His last days on earth, and Good Friday was the day Jesus died on the cross, followed by Saturday, and then Sunday, when He rose from the grave.

When Jesus rode into Jerusalem on a donkey he was fulfilling prophecies from the old-testiment prophets about the Messiah. It had to be through a certain gate of Jerusalem. When a Muslim leader who subdued Jerusalem offered to rebuild the temple out of respect for the Christian and Jewish God, (same as Muslim God) and Jesus, the Jews of the time bawked and didn't want a "heathen" to do it. So after such a major put down, he just walled up that gate, and it's still walled up! His gesture was like, "You guys are so self -righteously waiting for the Messiah to come through this gate, when He's already come; well He ain't comn' no more, so there! You can just forget it!" and He had it walled up!
Good Friday is commonly believed to be the day of Jesus' crucifiction, by most churches. They kinda count Friday, Saturday, And maybe early Sunday morning...well I can't really figure HOW they get three days and three nights out of 3 in the afternoon Friday- till before dawn, Sunday.
Jesus himself said "As Jona was three days and three nights in the belly of the fish, so shall the Son of Man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth." Matthew 12:40. You just can't get three days AND nights out of Friday evening to dawn Sunday.
The mistake is the understanding the the next day was the "Sabbath".The Passover was a special day, but the days after were also Holy days or "Sabbaths"- so just 'cause he was killed the day before a "Sabbath", it didn't have to be a Friday. It MIGHT have been Thursday, and it could have even been Wednesday , but it could NOT have really been on Friday, because Friday evening to Sunday morning is 2 nights and one day, TOPS!
Anyway it's only the day of celebration-we know that, but it's still a little confusing, don't you think? Church doctrines that cannot be supported by either scripture or documentable evidence should be dumped, thus streamlining the Body of Christ, and making he more acceptable to the world, instead of confusing them.
The Jehova's witnesses walked around for about 50 years telling people that Jesus had come back in 1914. Well it just didn't happen! Finally, a few years ago, they admitted it! Good for them! Better late than NEVER! Galelio was not so fortunate, as the church just would NOT bow to the obvious. They were just so afraid as many today, that somebody might know more than they did. People are like that, you know. They'd rather stay in a rut, even if it's wrong, than to open their eyes.
Happy Easter!
In Greece everybody goes around in the morning, on Easter and greets each other with"He is risen!" and that's nice. It's just that they mostly think their church -The Greek Orthodox - is the only "right" one- and that's Not nice. Jesus is nice, we tend to rather often be creeps without Him!

Palm Sunday is celebrating the arrival of Jesus from his spending forty days in the mountains. This is the beginning of passover. When he entered the city palms were thrown at his feet to welcome him. These same palms are then used next year to be made into ashes for Ash Wednesday. After Palm Sunday, follows Good Thursday, Good Friday, and then Easter Sunday - the day Jesus was resurrected. Good Thursday was the day he had the Last Supper - when he told his apostales that one of them would deceive him. Good Friday symbolizes the day of his Death.

Palm Sunday celebrates the entrance of Jesus into Jerusalem, for the Passover feast. He entered the city on a borrowed donkey, and crowds of people threw their coats on the road to make his path easier, waved palm branches (hence Palm Sunday)at him as a sign of adoration. Good Friday, ironically named, is the day on which the Crucifixion of Jesus is celebrated. Jesus was betrayed prior to this, and given to his enemies (the Pharisees, religious leaders who were jealous and angered by his teachings), and he was put on trial by Pilate, then Herod, then Pilate again, and sentenced to death because the crowds (same people who liked him before) demanded it.

Palm Sunday is when Jesus rode in on a donkey, and they laid their coats down and palm tree branches, because they thought Jesus was coming in and saving them right then and take over His kingdom here on earth. They did not realized that He was to die on the cross first. Good Friday is the day that Jesus died. From noon to 3 p.m. is when He hung up on the cross. They had to get Him down before the Sabbath which is at 6 p.m. and they buried Him in a borrowed tomb. Then on Sunday He arose again. He was here on earth for 40 days, and then went to heaven.

Palm Sunday is celebrating the triumphant entrance of Jesus into Jeruselum. Crowds of people yelled and cheered for him as they laid cloaks and palm branches on the street before the donkey he was riding.
Good Friday is much more solemn. It is the day of execution of Jesus. The day he was raised on a cross on skull mountain outside of Jeruselum. The same city that people had cheered when he entered a few days before. He was crucified after he was betrayed by his disciple Judas to the High Priest and Pharicees because they thought it was blasphemy he called himself the Son of God. three days later on Easter Jesus was raised from the dead.
