If you truly are a Christian, you seem to lack the love your religion preaches. You also appear to be terribly misguided.

Absolutely not. A load of rubbish. Most of the people incarcerated in prison are religious believers (and were so before their incarceration). Most Atheists are highly educated (probably the reason they are atheists) and do not do drugs, because they are too busy pursuing knowledge or otherwise living their lives. I don't know a single Atheist who believes their life is empty or without meaning. NOT ONE.

I haven't seen anything which might in any way suggest that, no. All the atheists I know are the happiest, most well adjusted people I've ever met.

Of course, I think your claim that life is meaningless makes you nothing but a silly little goose. Of course life has meaning as an atheist, it just isn't being 'good' for the sole purpose of buying our way into the big weekend resort in the sky. We atheists do good things out of love for our fellow man, and feel no need for a reward.

No more true than that Christians are more likely to be on drugs because their life on Earth is empty and without meaning and they have nothing to do until their God ends it all and raises them up to heaven for all eternity.

Atheists on the other hand have nothing to look forward to beyond death so have to make the most of their limited time here on earth and not waste it on drugs.

Does that answer your question?

Where did you hear that, because it's a load of BS (which does not stand for baby sitter, by the way).

I know for a fact that out of the drug addicts in my school, 78.3% of them are religious (Christian, Muslim, Jewish, Hindu, etc.). None of the Pagans or Wicca are though.(Yes, my school is very religiously diverse...). I know because I actually did a survey. First I asked them if they had done drugs before. Then I asked what religion they were. So, out of the 500 students I surveyed, 72.2% (361 students) did drugs, and out of those students, about 79% (285 students) are religious.

So maybe it's just my school, but your theory is complete BS. Don't spread **** like that around.

If that isn't a rude generalization to come back to after a day of golf I don't know what is...

People use drugs for varying reasons psychologically, one of which I've found through research has a lot to do with low self-esteem and with people like you running around making unkind generalizations, I understand why completely. Perhaps you'd be better off spending your time cultivating wisdom, compassion and altruism instead of such UNKIND speech.

Nope. There's nothing proving that a higher proportion of atheists are drug users. Drugs are in fact used in many religious rituals. I've taken drugs, and I believe in God. Atheists have plenty of meaning, it's just not the same meaning as you have.

Just because one isn't a member of the Jesus club doesn't mean their life is empty. I'm not a christian, yet as a spiritualist my life might have more meaning than most church goers. I just wonder why you think that being christian in the only thing that gives life meaning.

As an athiest (who doesnt use drugs), i think i live a more fulfilling life, as i am not waisting time hoping i will have a better "afterlife". I know too many religious people who are afraid to live, because they are too worried about their next life and that it will be better then. and ps. a LOT of non-athiests are drug users, especially considering that athiesm is a minority

Well I doubt it mainly because we are so much less likely to end up in prison. I don't know of a study that matches drug use to faith, but I be if one was done it would show the opposite is true.

No, Christians are more likely to be on drugs because they think it doesn't matter if they throw this life away; they get another one. Atheists are more likely to cherish life.
