Restrictions on eating certain meats was covered under the Mosaic Law. Jesus death ended the law covenant and began a new law covenant for the christian congregation. And restrictions put on foods was simply made up by the false religions and priest that taught the various churches that sprang up from other false teachings right up until todays teachings of different religions.

How we know that God's spirit was no longer with the Jewish nation at Jesus death was, at the moment of his death the curtian that surounded the Most Holy at the temple where the typical lamb was sacrificed was torn in two , and exposed the Most Holy part of the temple. Only the high priest that represented the antitypical Jesus was allowed in the Most Holy. Any one else who tried to enter was killed by Jehovah God.

The high priest tried to cover that fact up by continuing to force the people to observe the Mosaic Law and never revieled the torn curtian to the people. But fortunatly it is recorded for us in the Gosples. Matt. 27:51, Heb 10:20, Ex 26:31, Heb 6:19,
9:3

I don't eat Lamb because I don't like the idea of eating a lamb.

However many Christians "Eat Jesus" every sunday at mass.
It is called "Holy Communion".

Do you think of yourself as clever? Whether Christianily is 'right' or not is something we may believe or not believe. But the fact is that there are others who believe. And another's religious beliefs are to be respected....not made fun of. It's not a religious issue....it's just good manners. So if you don't have the good nature to have manners, at least have the common sense to.

I know you're just trying to be funny, but if you knew what Jesus actually did for you and how much He loves you even when you say things like that, you would be begging Him to forgive you. He loves you unconditionally and He only wants you to believe in Him. About those who were against Him, He said "Father forgive them, for they know not what they do".

it is fine if you eat lamb because you aren't eating HIM. he was using the lamb as a symbol. He was symbolizing the purity of the lamb.
