I am buying a Ford Focus would you buy the hatchback manual transmission or the ST Sedan Manual Transmission. I am a 25 year old guy that works in Boston everyday with a 30 mile commute? Thanks in advance!

The manual transmission regardless of model will give you the better gas milage, no matter what kind of vehicle it is. I believe the late model Foci 05-07 get somewhere around 35-37 mpg w/ 5 speed manual transmission.

I have an automatic 2005 Ford Focus ZX3 Hatchback. I really liked it before I had my child. I had a 45 mile commute to work and it was really good on gas. If I had it to do over I would have bought the Sedan. Getting the baby in and out of the backseat is a hassle with my 2 door car. Having the Sedan would make that a lot easier. But for you it's a personal preference decision. The hatchback is sportier but the Sedan probably has more room. I think either would suit you fine.

I like the ST better but the hatchback will give u better gas milage. so hope that helps in making ur decision.

hatchback zx3 if you want a 2 dr a zx5 if you want the 4 dr hatchback I love my 02 zx5 35 mpg with air on

Do you make this commute by yourself or do you carpool? The sedan makes backseat entry /exit a lot easier.

Don't buy a Ford Focus. My sister had one and it was a piece of junk. The tires wore unevenly, and it overheated. No mechanic she took it to seemed to be able to solve the over heating problem.
