If God said it, who am I to disagree with something God said?
I take everything God says as absolute truth.
That does not mean that God commanded us to kill homosexuals.
God takes care of His Own business in due time.

" 'If a man sleeps with his father's wife, he has dishonored his father. Both the man and the woman must be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads. 20:11
'If a man commits adultery with another man's wife—with the wife of his neighbor—both the adulterer and the adulteress must be put to death. 20:10
" 'If anyone curses his father or mother, he must be put to death. He has cursed his father or his mother, and his blood will be on his own head. 20:19
" 'If a man lies with a woman during her monthly period and has sexual relations with her, he has exposed the source of her flow, and she has also uncovered it. Both of them must be cut off from their people. 20:18
'A man or woman who is a medium or spiritist among you must be put to death. You are to stone them; their blood
will be on their own heads.' " Leviticus 20:27
Do you agree with all these as well? That adultery should be punished by death? Ever said an angry word to your parents? Well you know what the bible says about that.

It also says in the Bible: Leviticus 20:9
If anyone curses his father or mother, he must be put to death.
And: Exodus 35:2
For six days, work is to be done, but the seventh day shall be your holy day, a Sabbath of rest to the LORD. Whoever does any work on it must be put to death.
OK??

If you have been watching this Phelps chappy on BBC2. Remember also that sin cuts us off from God and that's any sin and we are all sinners. We are all saved by the grace of God if we repent and change our minds and follow him. The Key is that when we discover we are in sin that we confess it and change our mind about it so we can accept Jesus as our Lord God and saviour. Phelps doesn't talk much about Grace. You can go look on his God hates fags web site. I don't agree that God hates anyone. We are all sinners. That's why Jesus died and rose so we have a way back to him away from this separation.

This type of 'comment' is simply not helpful to people who are already thinking (and quite rightly judging by some of the comments on this web site) that all there is to Christian life is judgement and death. Why have you just taken a verse out of the Old Testament, totally out of context and without any thought for those who will read the question? Jesus taught us that the greatest commandment is to love God and to love our neighbour as ourselves. I see no love here and it grieves me.

The Bible is a book that has to be taken with precaution. The old testament is a composition of many books, many of them containing the law of the time when they were written.
None of these is part of the Christian belief.
It is a real pity that they are taken as law by many. Well... they are not.

Do you understand the quote? It seems to say that if a man is bisexual, tough sh1t, he's going down! and so is the women he favoured but a man's not condemned if he only goes with men. That seems to be the logical import of what's there. Do you prefer committed gays then?

Yes, it says that. It also says this:
"Whatsoever hath no fins nor scales in the waters, that shall be an abomination unto you." (Leviticus 11:12)

So hang on, if I (as a chick) sleep with some guy who is bisexual or otherwise curious, then I get put to death too? Not only fair, but logical...

And when you're finished with all those gay people, check out how Leviticus wants you to kill your girl if she turns out not to be a virgin, or people who work on the Sabbath .... Hey ... isn't this your Sabbath? Get against the wall!
