I was going to say that maybe you have extremely hard water and/or maybe the soap, body wash, or shampoo you are using is removing too much of the natural oils in your skin. Also if the air that you live in is really dry that can cause dry skin. I live in Oklahoma and in the summer my skin gets sooooo dry. So I make sure I apply an after bath oil or as someone else suggested cocoa butter after I get out of the shower and let it soak into my skin and then reapply as necessary. Throughout the day I use Suave Skin Therapy Advanced Therapy with Multivitamins and glycerin. I like the smell and it seems to stay on even after I wash my hands a few times.

You could be allergic to the laundry detergent used to wash your jeans. Or you may have eczema. I'd see a dermatologist to rule out a skin disease. I find lotions containing shea butter are very soothing for dry skin. By all means, don't scratch your legs with a nail cleaner, for heaven's sake. You might get infection or end up with permanent scarring.

Get pure cotton jeans not stretch ones. Reduce the temperature of your shower and avoid hot baths. Use a sorbelene based bar not soap to wash. Check out what your jeans are being washed in and make sure theyre rinsed thoroughly.

The answer is Renew!
This is Melaleuca product which was clinically tested against Eucerin. Renew surpassed Eucerin in every field tested: improvement of visual dryness, improvement in roughness, improvement in skin hydration, moisture barrier improvement.

This is a wonderful product for those with eczema, psoriasis, rosacea and diabetes.
