I hate to tell you, but if he is parking in front of your house on the street, he is legal. If he was blocking a driveway, that would be different. I have had the same problem myself, but complaining only got me the same answer I have just given you. The street is city property.

no law againt that. its a public street and he has as much right to park there as anyone. If there is a sign posted that is is no parking at any specific times than noboby can park during that time. if u live in a house i dont see y u dont park in ur driveway, in some places that would even give you a break on your insurance cause there is a lowered chance of your car being hit by something on the road. if not, your just out of luck.

If it is a PUBLIC street, there is probably no law being violated. If I were you, I would check to see if your cul-de-sac is actually a public street. If it is considered a PRIVATE road, you may have the right to have the car towed. I would recommend talking to the person first. If you explain the issue, he may find somewhere else to park.

Doesn't his apartment complex have a parking lot? Maybe you could make an anonymous complaint to the landlord and tell him that the guy has been parking in front of your house. Perhaps when his rent gets raised he will think about parking where he is supposed to park.

Totally legal to park it's public parking as long as he is not blocking your driveway you can have it towed away, talk to the person first, try to get your spot before he does.

Here in my city (Ontario, Canada) if there are no signs to say he can't park there, and the spot he is using is on a public street, I don't think there is anything you can legally do.

You can have it towed away, yep. Kinda mean. I'd ask him to please quit (real nice) first. Then I'd have it towed if he kept it up. You gotta prove it's your property - I'm not sure who you call, but call the police or city - they'll know. I've seen my mom's neighbors do this.

Hey- your other answerers may not be correct. My moms neighbors did it to the other people next door. The dam teens wouldn't quit parking in front of there house( it was in the street, too). This is Texas- I don't know about other states though.

What a pain in the butt! Unfortunately, it's municiple parking, and anybody can park there. You could go to the city and ask that they restrict the cul-de-sac parking for residents of the cul-de-sac, or maybe ask them to buy land for a municiple parking lot for residents of those apartments.

I run into this complaint a lot. No, it is not illegal for him to park in front of your house provided it is not a posted no parking zone.

Anyone can park anywhere along the sidewalk as long as they obey any applicable signs and do not block driveways.
