A midget is small all over. They have small heads.A dwarf , though small, is very likely to have a normal size head [ very good sign of normal intelligence] . A dwarf may appear to have a head too large for his or her body.

A midget is a loose term referring to an individual -usually in the lower 10% of height for age and not reaching further height. This individuals can be treated with growth hormone if caught in time.
Midget is not a medical term. Consequently, there is no definition medically if a midget. Patients who are below 90 or 95% of average body height are usually given growth hormones.

Country fairs have dwarf throwing competitions but I have never seen a midget throwing completion.
