is it not strange how people seem to fear jesus, whose message is love, it is a real puzzle to me! In the world there is so much cruelty, hatred and pain, yet so many blind themselves to the truths found in his word. Read it, or are you too afraid!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Because you are all mentally ill, love.

I have plenty of faith in God. But I certainly don't believe in your Christian version of God.

I also don't fear Jesus. It's hard to fear dead people unless you are highly superstitious or something. Jesus was a most righeous man who had much to teach .

What is kind of frightening is the way Christians assume that only they could possibly be correct and, by that thinking, have decided that everyone else must follow Christian beliefs.

There are many religions in the world - no one knows which, if any, is the one, right, true religion. Believe what you want, but let others do the same And stop assuming that anyone who believes differently is 'afraid' of anything. It's simply not true.

id say people with faith are more afraid.
afraid of their own religion and other peoples.
to be fair i think people should be able to believe what they want to believe without worrying about conducting their belief properly and how other people see them
ridiculous
in all of the 6 mainstream religions they preach to treat other people how they would like to be treated and to good and righteous blah blah blah.......... yet religion is the main cause of war. hmm go figure
you cant seriously believe that your god is THE god and everyone else just picked the wrong one?
as long as you are a good and fair person why put in place more rules for people to break? oh yeah because when someone doesn't like a certain thing in that religion they just start their own. how many branches of Christianity are there now?
with this world in the state it is now, the state that we as mankind have caused, the last thing you should be thinking about is god. people should be out there helping people and figuring out how to save the Earth and not banging on my door in a suit,a backpack and a bible.(oh and the leaflets can stop as well)
religion is not the cause of the cruelty and hatred, people are and religion isn't going to change that

I am afraid of the notion that so many people are willing to give up reason and rationality for a sort of supernatural gift basket.

The only scary thing about the book itself is the number of contradictions it contains which get completely overlooked by those who just fancy believing in it.

I have no faith but i am not afraid of those with faith. There are so many messages of love out there why focus on just one? There are so many tangible people now who are currently alive and still advocating for love, peace and against all that is bad in this world.and as for people who are afraid of jesus it is usually the faithful themselves and not those who do not believe in it in the first place.

Hunny, I was a christian for twelve years. I've read the bible from cover to cover in three translations. I'm certainly not afraid of the message.

The truth is, I just don't believe in god. I don't believe that most of the bible is factual. I don't believe that Jesus was divine -- an intelligent and compassionate teacher, but that's all.

We're not atheists because we want to live immoral lives and fear the consequences. We just happen to believe differently then you do. Why are you so afraid of that?

Well i aint! I love being able to live my life the way i want to live it, without dictation, repression, fear or guilt.I have a very good life. I respect others and im extremely happy with my lot.
If there is such a place as Heaven then i reckon if you are a decent enough person you do not have to believe in a god to get you there.

People of faith are often delusional sociopaths bent on killing others. Religion is a major cause of all the cruelty in the world - belief in santa clause will not make this a better world.

Why do you assume that the only people with faith are those who believe in jesus?
What puzzles me is people like you who think that fear is a factor in the decision not to believe in jesus.
Many of us believe in other gods.. many of us don't believe in god at all, and yet live a very spiritual life.
You present this question with arrogance. Is this what Jesus would do?

It is scary that in an age of free education and large amounts of free information, people still follow blindly and don't think for themselves. It's scary that people still prefer the escapism of religion rather than facing reality. It's scary that despite the terrible track record, some humans still think that they are special and are worthy of the attention of a supposed higher being!

It is not Faith I am scared of. Faith is merely a viewpoint.

What I fear are Christians, who have tortured, raped, enslaved, murdered and slaughtered all while justifying their faith and forcing it on others.

Let's see Christians, in the past and present times, have attacked Atheists, Jews, Muslims, North American Indians, Africans, Gays (and people who are bi), Nudists, Pagans, Doctors (even those who don't perform abortions), Scientists (for trying to understand the universe and leading us to enlistments), and each other.

That belies the "love" that so many of them preach (or don't)
