The NIST has not fully disclosed its computer models and its assumptions about the collapse of three steel framed buildings at the NYC WTC on 9/11/2001. The evidence analyzed by Professor Steven Jones of BYU suggests that the buildings must have been demolished.

Why do we not have a comprehensive model for the collapse?

By the way... The often quoted Popular Mechanics article does not provide a reasonable model of the collapse of any kind.

The PBS program NOVA has a full (1) hour tape that deals with the reasons that the twin towers collapsed after the airliner strikes.

It goes into very much detail about all aspects of the design of the building and why the design was particicularly vulnerable to the type of failure and total collapse that occurred. The graphics and explanations are fantastic and show in slow motion how the collapse occurred and the sequence of failure of all the structural members and floor supports.

I'm sure there are no secrets about why the buildings came down. There are too many structural engineers that have all agreed on the reasons. You might be able to contact someone at NOVA ="Why the Twin Towers Fell" or elsewhere that could get you a tape of the program.

Professor Steven Jones is a moon bat. Despite his impressive credentials, ask yourself why all of his colleagues at BYU have dismissed all of his allegations - and, further, ask yourself why none of his theories concerning the tower collapses have appeared in any scientific venue that can be reviewed by his peers.
