Drive-in movies?

Question

Does anyone know of a drive-in movie theater in or around NY City? (Meaning the 5 boroughs, Long Island, etc) If they still have any anywhere---I hope I hope!

East of the Hudson River, this is the nearest operating Drive-in for Manhattan and metro NYC, and has been in consecutive operation since 1949. Capacity for up to 766 cars. Traditional Drive-in speakers have been replaced by radio sound (530 AM) & (87.9 FM).
They are open seasonally - from late March or early April
(depending on the temperment of early spring weather) -
thru October; weekends only in spring and fall, and 7 nites
from May thru LaborDay; screening 1stRun double features.
Admission: $7; (ages 12&up); $3 (ages 5-11); under 5 free;
Monday night is Bargain Night ($2 off the adult ticket price).

I think that the closest one to you will be Fair Oaks up near Middletown, NY. I don't know of any in Rockland, Westchester, or any of the 5 boroughs.

During the summer they play movies on big screens in some of the Manhattan and Brooklyn parks. Not only is this more eco-friendly, but also gives you a chance to meet people.

Your gonna have a long haul to get to one, they are very out of style, especially in the city. Your better off just paying less time, money, and gas milage by going to a real movie theatre.
