insomnia is a sign that you are working yourself too hard. give your muscles a break. take a week off. then ease back in to a routine. give your body time to recover after a workout by working out every other day. work out in the morning, this will raise your metabolism and you will sleep better at night, also by working in the morning you will feel better about yourself for the rest of the day. take part in a varied routine, don't do the same exercises each workout. for your sleeping problem, definitely take a week off and wind down, or at least do a week of a completely different exercises, like swimming maybe. Try and maybe read when you go to bed.

It depends on what kind of workouts your doing...but you should try a variety. Your body reasponds diferently to deiferent workouts. By changing your workout, either in intesity, or style, you can be a lot more satisfied and your body will acutally react better and burn more calories. That's why so many people lose weight right when they start an exercise plan, their bodies arn't used to it, so they react quickly to it. So branch out with your workouts, and that should help out.

What time in the day do you usually work out? If its right before you go to bed that may be a reason. I don't think its because you're thinking about working out.

What exactly are you trying to gain from your workout? Lose weight? gain muscle? leaner legs? You may not be satisfied because you may not be doing the right type of workouts.

Figure out your goal, then gear your work outs towards that.

If u can't sleep u may have insomnia
Since u suffer from a sense of dissatisfaction & using the same word 'workout' often (i.e. monotonous) U may be suffering from anorexia; consult a psychiatrist as soon as possible.
