A 95-million-year-old marine lizard with minuscule front legs may shed new light on the evolution of modern reptiles, particularly snakes, scientists have reported.

The fossilized remains of the reptile represent the earliest known example of a lizard evolving toward a limbless state, according to experts who described the new species.

The creature's vestigial, or no longer functional, forelimbs barely protrude from its long, snakelike body.

Although its rear legs were of normal size, researchers said the lizard was probably an eel-like swimmer that spent little time on land.

I realize that a 95 million year old lizard does not prove that God did not create him but it does support the age of the earth as being far older than 6,000 years.

So tell me folks, Are you going to go to National Geographic for unbiased answers or are you going to go to Answers in Genesis? LOL!

IF there is a God, then obviously He created all, but the motive of the Creationist is not the truth. It is to push their religious dogma, and the LITERAL interpretation of the Bible, regardless of how much evidence proves them wrong.
If there is a God, maybe evolution was just how he decided to do it.

I continually hear questions such as yours and still see little or no conflict between the stories of creation found in Genesis and the stories of creation found in my science books from school days. People get too hung up on dates and times when they read them in this book or that. The issue, Biblically speaking, is not how long or when it took or took place. The issue is that "God Created." That is the most important and probably the most accurate statement of either of the two creation stories in our Bible. Let's not get too hung up on the order, the age, the time, the number written there. That stuff is window dressing.

If I accept that "God Created," why should I get worried about when and how? All I need to remember is that he did. To dwell on anything more is to miss the entire point of the book, chapter and verse.

But then that is just my opinion ......

I believe the word of god!

And also that I can get into a secret country through a wardrobe, and once I went to Oz, and I met a talking caterpillar in Wonderland, and somewhere the teddy bears are having a picnic.

A fossilized embryo does little for me about "proving" anything. Until someone shows me direct evidence of a monkey evolving into a human, I will always feel that evolution is simply: "a theory."

Personally I have found it takes exponentially more faith to believe in evolution than in creation. So we have a short armed reptile, the missing link it surely is not.

God hid His finger print in your DNA. The day they are all mapped out (not that it's going to happen), then we'll talk about evolution.
