Well, until they get that E. Coli issue resolved, I wouldn't expect to see Peter Pan on store shelves.
There was a time when Peter Pan had so much sugar in it that it didn't meet the FDA standards for peanut butter, so they had to call it "peanut spread". Anyway, if you don't want to try the other mainstream brands like Jif or Skippy, you could always try some of the lesser-known "natural" brands like Maranatha (an organic brand that does contain added sugar) or Adam's.
Nutella is also popular (Kobe Bryant used to endorse it), but it isn't peanut butter. It's made with hazelnuts, cacao, and sugar.

I live in the southeast part of Michigan and I know for a fact that they sell Peter Pan at Krogers. Check out the kroger web sight. Kroger.com

Try Skippy Honey Nut Roasted Chunky Peanut Butter.

They're not very heard to find at grocery stores. But personally, I'd go with Nutella. They are the best.
