E. Historical fiction
Based on actual places and some actual events, but *greatly* dressed up and tagged "word of god."

B, and also C and D in different places. Parts of it are historically accurate, others (especially the Pentateuch) are stories made to explain how the Jewish people came into being, how they came to occupy Canaan, and how God protected them over their exile and return. Parts are poetry and fable. Parts are apocalyptic visions of the world to come. The Bible is a vast, messy mix of all kinds of things, and it is important to read it in an intelligent, informed way.
But Christians believe that it is inspired by God, and that the Spirit can speak through prayerful, informed reading and interpretation of Scripture.
