I have just deleted a question because I got nothing but insults and asked that your own opinion be given. But I can see that it is impossible for anyone who is a non believer to answer the question of a Christian without passing insults and totally ignoring the request. Christians have been called all kinds of names, and made fun of. Now I would like to know why it's necessary for adult people reguardless of your belief to insult, be rude and also not really answer the question. Don't ask me a question when I am not allowed to answer my own question, and please don't lower yourselves to calling people names. If you aren't adult enough to answer the question in a decent manner than don't bother. I can't help but wonder if Christians hit a nerve when non believers really don't know the answer to a question. Usually people that insult rather than answer the question, don't know the answer to the question - guess that answers alot of questions for Christians.

Well, I have to say I disagree with the idea that non believers simply can't answer a Christian's question without being rude. Though I do agree that many sadly do this, not all do.

I think there's a degree of anonymity here which people feel protects them from observing the niceties they would if they were talking face to face. Which is sad.

I try to be polite for the most part. I also try to respect if someone asks for answers from a specific group only.

I also wonder if people really read what they write and try to see it from another's perspective. Take the answer above me. Now I'm sure he meant no offence. But the idea that someone can't behave decently unless they believe in God seems a bit harsh to me. Are we not all human? Flawed, funny and fallible?

Thank you for yor question.

There's a logical explanation for that.

You're a Christian asking a question.

Christians can be rude or they can be polite. It's just that neither of those two possibilities will show up because they don't disagree with you. So you won't encounter a rude Christian answering another Christian's question.

Atheists can be rude or they can be polite. The polite ones can seem condescending, and the rude ones are just rude.

There is nothing to suggest that a Christian is more polite than an Atheist, it's just that you happen to see more rude Atheists than rude Christians because you are a Christian.

I'm sure many Atheists can put up examples of how rude Christians interfere with their questions, and be equally justified in saying so.

In conclusion, we should all avoid generalizing because it's a bad habit. Atheist or Christian.

Unfortunately, in a forum like this, it goes both ways. When you express a particular belief, there will be someone from a differing belief who is going to give a rude answer. Some atheists do it to Christians, some Christians do it to atheists. It's also done to Muslims, Jews, Pagans, Hindus, and all others on here. It's not the belief that is the problem, it's the particular person doing the answering. They aren't representative of every person of that belief.

i've got not got self assurance that the two edge is sweet, non secular zelaots or atheists. i think of that they are impolite through fact there's a large debate approximately this and that, there is not any longer something which would be shown on the two end, and the two pervert the written be conscious to no end. Can there ever be a meeting of the minds??? not at all. till human beings see previous the be conscious, the recommendations, and the glaring modifications and condemnations, there purely is not any person-friendly floor. the middle is the only element affected in non secular concerns and people who do no longer see that are blind and ignorant.

For myself I expect nothing less from an Atheist than rude mean behavior. We are expected to be loving, following Christ. I fail to see any credo other than the Golden Rule, which is based on the 10 commandments, that atheist follow. They don't believe in hell or heaven. Honestly what motivation is there for them to be any thing other than as mean or rude as they feel at the moment? If there are no consequences as we view rewards and punishment-what motivation do they have to be kind or loving? I'm not trying to be scathing or anything I just honestly don't know what would spur them to be kind or loving.
And the 'religious' can and will be as cruel to us as they were to Jesus. And He scalded them, for being unloving firstly.

You could take this entire question and insert the names of other faiths or the name atheist in place of christian and direct it at christians as well.

There are a lot of people of all faiths and of atheism on here that are disrespectful toward others here.
Are you kind when a pagan asks a sincere question about his/her faith?
How about a muslim?
A buddhist?
A spiritualist?
If someone asks a question about tarot, do you call them a satan worshipper bound for hell or try to steer them away from it calling it evil?
the shoe is just as easily place on the other foot here.

Probably for the same reason that the opposite is true as well. I am not even an Atheist and I have gotten some very rude responses from Christians. Some of the rudest and nastiest questions on here are asked by Christians as well:

Should we build jails for homosexuals, Atheists, polytheists and black people?

Sounds like a jolly good idea to me!

What do you think?

OR:

"DO YOU F,AGGOTS and DYKKES know that tommorrow is SUNDAY, A DAY TO GO TO CHURCH AND REPENT and TURN STRAIGHT?
All churches welcome hommos with open arms, when they are serious about turning away from f,aggotism and back to being normal and healthy. please no rude answers. a little civility goes a long way..thank you and may J,esus bless you "

Actually, I thinks Christians answering other Christians are the rudest of all. As a "liberal" Christian, I find atheists and agnostics generally polite and reasonable in their disagreement. It is the evangelical Christian Taliban who bite my head off.

I apologise on behalf of all atheists for being rude to you, but I'm sure a lot of it stems from atheists just not getting why people are religious. You have to realize that atheists are the way they are because we base our beliefs on logic rather than faith so it's hard for us to see the viewpoint of someone who thinks differently than us.
