My best friend's husband had a caracature made up of of all of his groomsmen and him playing poker, which was an original idea. You could do bath robes (big plush ones) with their initials embroidered onto the robes. You could do tickets to games or concerts of artists/teams you know your friends like. If you have friends who are into golf, get them personalized balls or personalized club hats (whatever those things are called that go over the top of your club to keep it warm and safe). You could get them gift certificates to the movie theatre if they're movie buffs or if they're in dire need of relaxation, get them massage gift certificates. If they like electronic devices, get them hand-held video games--you don't have to go top of the line and get them a brand new DS lite or PSP, but you could go for Game Boy Color or something like that. If you want something more traditional, you could do pocket watches. Also, and I've seen this done before and it was a huge hit, if any of them went to big school-spirit schools (think Michigan, Notre Dame, Ohio State, etc.) get them pilsner mugs from their schools--most schools have an online bookstore where you can buy school gear.

I'm getting married in 4 months and my fiance bought his groomsmen silver cufflinks and had each of their initials engraved on them. They will wear them for the wedding then have them to use all the time! It's cool because they will use the gift. I mean, if you spend money on that stuff that you get personalized it ends up in their garage never used or looked at again!

I know it's cliche' but we are giving our groomsmen personalized flasks. But to make it more personal we are basically doing like a guys basket. We got each guy a galvanized pail and are going to paint their names on it and we are buying each guy a pint of their favorite hard liquor to put in the flask, an issue of their favorite magazine, their favorite junk food, and scratchoff lottery tickets. We also bought personalized koozies for our wedding favors so we are going to give each guy like a bottle of their favorite beer and put it in the koozie in the pail. And we are doing the same for the bridesmaids except we are putting like all girly things. An issue of Cosmo, jewelry, chocolate, flip-flops, a compact mirror and wine coolers. lol! All the necessities of being a girl. And for our junior groomsmen and bridesmaids we kept the same theme kind of going with the whole personal pails. We got them personalized beach towels, flip-flops, sunglasses, and sunscreen. I know you just asked for groomsmen gifts but I just wanted you to get the whole idea and maybe your fiance might like something I said about the bridesmaid stuff. Good Luck with everything!

Must husband did do the kind of traditional lead crystal beer mugs with their initials, but he also tucked a $50 gift certificate inside for a place he knew each of them would like individually. Best Buy for my techie brother, Gander Mountain for uncle who's a hunter, auto parts website for his dad who restores VWs. It's all about the personalization.

We decided that nobody likes or uses the standard wedding gifts so we decided to with something that the guys would actually lke and use. We got them gift cards to Best Buy. At least it's not something that is going to just get thrown away you know.

You could get them some Special Ops boot knifes to wear to the reception. You know, to defend themselves from the drunken bridesmaids.
In all seriousness, make it something they enjoy. A poker set, barware set, paintball gun, D20's and some new cards for the Magic geek in your circle. Something that shows them you carel.

We bought ours some aces cuff links. They can wear them on the wedding day. I wrote a card that says ."now you always have an ace up your sleeve" But you can get other ones - golf clubs etc depending on their hobby. We all play poker together so it was perfect for us.

I think money clips are great for them.It makes it more personal if you get them one that represents their interests such as golf, etc. There are so many to choose from. Or have it engraved with their names.
