Heaven is a world inhabited by spirits who are led by the Spirit of GOD to do the will of GOD. Man is dual in nature. Man's spirit is created for pure and sinless life with GOD. The flesh is reserved for a sinful life in the domain of Satan. The spirit is inherently eternal. The problem is that it has no activity without GOD though it is not dead.

When the reign of Satan ends, the physical will be destroyed with fire leaving the spiritual. There will then be judgment. Those whose spirits have been born of Spirit will continue to live on earth for ever. "The highest heavens belong to the LORD, but the earth he has given to man." Psalm 115:16. "The righteous will inherit the land and dwell in it for ever." Psalm 37:29. The righteous are those who have been born of Spirit to have the righteousness of GOD. Our earth then becomes one of the heavens. For now, the earth is under the control of Satan. 1 John 5:19.

In the meantime, all the spirits of those dead stay in a neutral spiritual world here on earth. They have no activities of any kind. They are resting, awaiting the judgment day, a terrible day. Until after judgment, there is no heaven yet for man.

But if all you have done is to give your life to Christ, you are neither born of water nor of the Spirit. When the kingdom of GOD comes, you shall not be able to enter. You will remain outside without any activity. Had luck if you find yourself in the fire that destroys the world of Satan.

By some apologists Jesus allegedly existed before he did. And therefore also earlier existing people can be excused for their sins.
But I think that they did not receive repentence until after the semigod Jesus allowed himself to be sacrificed to himself on the cross however.

So the only real difference is that earlier living people needed to wait a few or several thousand years to be saved.
And oh yeah. They also did not have to actually believe in Jesus I guess. I mean, it could rarely have even been possible for them to do that, don't you think?

They went to Spirit Paradise and awaited the advent and atonement of Jesus Christ. As the Savior hung on the cross, recall that he spoke to the two men hanging on the crosses beside him and mentioned that today "you will be with me in Paradise." This did not mean that the other men would join Christ in heaven, because they were sinful to the point of being crucified themselves. What it did mean is that they would go the that place all mankind does after death, the Spirit World, to await the resurrection.
Christ provided the way were by we can receive of the resurrection and be judged according to our works. That judgment brings us to our final destination, life with Christ in the highest kingdom of heaven, or someplace lesser, according to our deeds while here on the earth.

God has sent us many prophets throughout time to guide us. Each prophet was giving the same message, which is to worship the one and only God.

We do not go to heaven by believing that Jesus (peace be upon him) died for our sins - that's rediculous! We go to heaven by our deeds and belief in God. We are each accountable for what we do in this life, and will be judged accordingly which will determine where we will be going (heaven or hell).
