I consider myself a Christian but like to think of things. Have you ever wondered what the differnce in the world would be if Jesus never arrived? Before and after Jesus the world has the same problems and nothing has changed. I know we have salvation from him but I am wondering what differnce did it make in the world? People did not even know of Christ in the North and South America's until about 1400 years after his death. Also people say that in the u.s. 80% of the people claiming to be Christians are Christians by name only.

I'm not a Christian, but I think the answer to this question is simply that the differences are not physical ones, but spiritual ones. Jesus himself did not expect that the Kingdom of God would descend upon man overnight, but take a look at what DID happen.

After Jesus died, a small sect of Judaism (Christianity) spread into the largest religious following in the entire world. The idea that Christ died for our sins spread more efficiently than the English language.

In every nation, there is at least one Catholic Church and one organization headed by the catholic church that tends to the needs of the poor or disabled.

So if you're looking for physical differences, there they are.

What the hell, Joe...

Jesus got up after being dead three days and started walking around like nothing ever happened, then he went out to dinner with some of his dwarfs, then he rose into the sky and became a god.

And who gives a crap how many people blah blah blah.

read the new testament and go to church and you will learn about what Jesus Christ did for you. Next week (Easter) Christians recognize the sacrifice that Jesus made for all people.

Joe, I disagree. Jesus did have a positive impact. Regardless of whether anyone choses to believe in Him, he accomplished something that was so very important. He made it possible, for those of us who chose to beleive in him, to be clean before God.
