Yes, I agree it is an act of war! and we ( The British and Americans ) need to start getting our acts together and stop pussyfooting around with Ahmadinejad, he is hellbent on destroying anyone who doesn't believe in his sick twisted views on how the world should be, and he's getting away with everything he's doing and he's flaunting his threats in front of the whole world, and still we ( The British and Americans ) are so divided politicaly that it is making us a complete laughing stock the world over, the fear that I feal has no words to describe, when I think of what lies ahead of us..aka The free world. How the heck are we going to be able to stand up and fight back with all our might when people are so divided and stupid people like Nancy Pelosi and her cronies keep interfearing with the expert's ie: Military Generals on the frontlines of the war in Iraq, Pelosi and her gang are making complete fools of us all in front of the whole world. And now she's in Syria?? Why isn't she bogged down somewhere with paperwork or something??
The same thing is happening in Britain, people are so divided because of the politicians all arguing and playing politiacal games so much that people are sick to death of their family members who are in the Military being used as political pawns, just like what is going on here, Political Correctness is going to be our downfall, and Ahmadinejad must be laughing his head off at this two ringed circus ( America and Britain ).
War is War! and there is no getting over it or around it, when the war we are in is with such Evil, these Islamic facist terrorists are not going to back down, they are hellbent on destroying anyone who get's in their way and that's a fact that everyone in the free world has to realise before it's to late.
And for people who wish to keep their heads burried in the sand and selfishly want to get on with their tunnel visioned lifes, and who are not participating by putting their lives on the frontlines in the Military, should not be allowed to have any say in anything what so ever to do with the war, period.
And let the boots on the ground be the judges of what needs to be done, period.
I am a Scottish woman with an American husband, ex navy, who has done three tours of duty in the Persian Gulf. Two of our children ( only son and one of our daughter's ) are American soldier's who are about to be deployed to Iraq (again).

It is definatly a fact that they were somewhere nearby the international waters. The UK forces can say whatever they want, the fact remains there in Iran now. What was and wasnt doesnt matter now. What matters is resolving this peacfully. When someone crosses international territories, ppl are taken and kept for questioning. Its not a matter of them being abused or something. This is normal in places like India or Pakistan. When ppl are found "mistakenly" crossing over. Specially when UK and USA have a place like gitmo. They should be the last ppl to compain about illegal detantion.
The British authorities should have acted more responsibly and should have talked to the Iranians diplomatically. Suggesting there has been a misunderstanding of sorts. Whatever the case, which is being sorted out. Rather than coming on BBC and saying irans abducted our soldiers and this and that. They are wrong we are right. After all what is diplomacy there for. This politicising of events take the focus away from the real issue which is getting back the soldiers. After all there soldiers not postman or nurses. This is their job.
That said and done, this should be resolved diplomatically and America and Uk ( who are currently trying to find a reason to go into Iran ) should not act in aggression.
This can be resolved diplomatically and should. The trigger happy gung ho approach will only cause more death and misery to ppl, while many sip hot choclate in starbucks. (examples Iraq, Afghanistan).

Why are people so trigger happy? Some of yall say "Bomb them", "retaliate" and all that kind of stuff. The U.S. is between a rock and a hard place. If we don't fight for the Brits, they'll resent us and think twice about helping the U.S. in the future. If we "bomb" Iran, iran could hold their oil exports and make our gas prices hit record highs. 7.99 per gal.
This could be the begining of a big problem. People say WW3 is coming, so think about what can happen if we do something drastic. I think iran is hoping the U.S. strike them, so they can hurt our economy. (domino effect). Don't forget how the ussr fell. We need to be smart and diplomatic to get the sailors home safe.

Have you ever been a POW or subjected to torture? Obviously not. It's easy to say you only give name rank and service number if you haven't been there. When someone deprives you of sleep and subjects you to torture you can only hold out for so long. Have one of your buddies string you up by your wrists, hands behind you, and toes nearly off or off the floor and see how long you can last before you'll swear to anything they want. If you can hold out for more than a few hours, without begging them to stop, then you can comment on what POW'S say or do. And believe me there are a lot worse methods used to elicit info in a POW camp.

I feel what they have done was an act of war. You shouldn't seize another country's people out of your "so called" territorial waters unless you are at war with them. If the country didn't like people trespassing in their territory, they would have at least given them a warning to get out instead of taking them hostage. I believe how the Brits and U.S. should solve this situation is by giving an ultimatum for Iran to release the prisoners. If Iran is still stubborn and doesn't release them, we bomb all their nuclear facilities and rain airstrikes on them daily until they release them. They got away with it when they took captive all the U.S. embassy workers in the '70s but they shouldn't get away with it this time!

I don't think Britain wants to retaliate while their soldiers are still in Iran. I also feel for the families and wish for their safe return home soon.
