Sira has different meanings depending on what it is refered to but all similar as negative description:

If to a person: it means crazy, foolish
if to an object: it means broken
if to food: it means spoiled
if to music: (like sira ang tono) it means bad (to the ears)
if to somebody's public image = destroyed

You mean the name of water buffalo: Kalabaw

"Water buffalo" in Tagalog is "Kalabaw".
"Sira" means "broken" but there are a lot of terms if you use it in other terms. Like food we called it "sira" when it is spoiled, when we like to call a person crazy we call them "sira ulo"

Although the C is not used in Tagalog some words that are borrowed can still have a C. So Kalabaw can be Calabaw.

sira means broken. also used commonly to call someone crazy (basically shortened slang for sira ulo= crazy in the head)

water buffalo is kalabaw
