The inside area of the eyes (side next to the nose) have a swolen white thing there covering part of the eye...she seems really tired too...

The 'white thing' is her nictitating membrane - her third eyelid, which all cats and dogs have.

The third eyelid tends to come over the eye/become swollen when they're ill. The fact that she seems tired confirms this. This is not a specific symptom of any one illness, just a general sign of illness.

You need to take her to the vet to find out exactly what's wrong - please do, because although it may be a simple illness it could also be serious!

Good luck - sounds like whatever it is you've caught it early, which is always the best way!

Cats have a third eyelid, and it comes across the eye from the inside corner. If their eyes are irritated or they are not feeling well/very lethargic, the eyelid can start to move across the eye. I would definitely recommend getting your cat to your veterinarian to be checked out soon.

My cat had that a couple years ago, the vet called it a "fallen eyelid" (it's the third eyelid as others have said). It can be a symptom of a number of ailments, but in my cat's case she had a tapeworm. Take your cat to the vet immediately to get her checked out.

When a cat is sick this happens. Go to the vet. It's as sign of infection somewhere in the cat, not just in the eye area.
