Bertolucci's "Last Tango In Paris" is a heart-breaking story of a French nun's need to choose between her God and her dancing career.
Scorcese's "The Last Temptation of Christ" is a pious, faithful retelling of the Gospel story by a famous director.
"The Life of Brian" is the lifestory of Catholic theologian Brian Davis.

If you want a movie about the battle between good and evil then the new Narnia (Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe) parallels the christian message brilliantly.

I Confess (1953) a movie about a Catholic priest who is falsely accused of murder. He must remain silent and not defend himself because the real murdered confessed the crime to him under the seal of the confessional.
Joseph (1995) with Ben Kingsley would also be a good movie to show. It is not only a pretty accurate re-telling of the biblical account it has a pretty powerful message about forgiveness and reconciliation.

How about "Needful Things" by Stephen King. It might have too much violence for HS though. I guess that rules out "MacBeth" as well.
