No, he would be all for the war. Ever heard of the Crusades?

In response to "jan"- So, it's okay to kill mass amounts of people, but not okay to kill one? Oh, that makes PERFECT sense to me! *note the sarcasm*

And we weren't protecting ourselves, because we weren't being threatened. We just have paranoid idiots running the country. I mean, where are the nuclear bombs and uranium? The biological weapons? If you are going to have a war, make sure you aren't just assuming things. Destroying a nation based on guesses isn't just stupid, it's downright cruel! Do you know how many innocent women and children have been killed over nothing but our country's paranoia??

And as for the offering the guy with a gun pointed at my head tea, isn't there something about 'turning the other cheek'? You know, being nice to someone who is mean to you? What is it with you? It's like this with most Christians I know. Ignoring some parts of the bible and religious laws so they can say what they are doing is justified.

I don't think it can be answered for two reasons. Christ is not a normal ruler of state in this world although he is a ruler and he is a head of state he is not equal. So what he would do would hypothetically be based on his deity. In one sense Christ does fight since he will judge his enemies. In another sesne he while in this world was not a fighter for the things of this world and he kind of stood aloof from their concerns. So Christ does different things at different times, the bible presents him to us for now as a lamb, but for his own reasons and the purpose of the Father, not because he blessed be his name , is afraid or averse to judgement completely, but only for a time. The scriptures also present him as the coming lion of Judah. So I am not sure that one attitude can define Jesus, Jesus is a personality just like you and me in the way that we have a range of possibile behaviors towards things. Jesus is not a mental construct or a formula but a living person that cannot be put into a box and predicted all the time. We can only trace a general outline of his ways based upon his general will as found in scripture and revealed by his spirit in godbearers, but even then that outline always shows us that God and Jesus Christ are not one dimensional.
Is it possible that he would disagree with Bush or anybody including the peace activists? Yes of course because they each do what they do for reasons of their own, not for Gods glory, while Jesus served Gods glory, not idealism or peace. He served and obeyed God. There is a difference.
If you ask what Christians must do, I am of the opinion that we ought not fight for any country. We are citizens of a different kingdom, we belong to God, we serve God not Ceasar. We are not peace activists either. Of course the world wants peace but not Gods peace.

"Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid".-- Jesus

Jesus is fictional. But based on the stories, Jesus would never have gone to war in the first place.

What part of "love your enemies" and "turn the other cheek" did Bush not understand?

I can't answer that question. But it seems to me that when I hear a soldier that has just come home being interviewed. They are saying that they would go back if necessary because of what they saw going on over there. It seems to me that they are the ones to ask. They know better than anyone.

Jesus cares about the people in Iraq as well as He cares about us. I sometimes wonder how God can stand to open his eyes when looking our way.

Not sure, will have to give that one alot
of thought; Gods Word does say that once the power in Iraq falls, to look to Iran for problems to come.....

TO "LINA"; God is not a peace-nik; also, the commandment is not to murder, which is defined as "lying in wait to do fatal harm".
War is not murder, its self defence, and if ya just stand there and offer tea to the guy who is pointing his gun at you, quess what - you're dead. Don't be goofy.

I don't think that He would because that would take some of our protection away. I mean resease more terroists out into America. I'm not sure, but I don't think that He would. God made Satan prince of the Earth and Satan is in charge of war, and God can't take that away.

likely he would not have invaded and occupied a people under false pretense, would not have used wmd like phosphorus, depleted uranium, cluster bomb-lets, or napalm. likely given the Americans and Brits a severe talking too. bush said God spoke to him and told him to bomb the brown peoples, ok, why did this projection not tell him their was no wmd or ties to al quadi

Jesus desires to woo the hearts of mankind to love, serve, trust, and obey the Gosple, when men do this, they learn to live in harmony with each other.
