It's not true that "low" IQ's belong to Christians. Yes, they have found a correlation between better academic performance and IQ results and non-belief in a deity, but it didn't say that Christians were "low" IQ. I know a lot of wonderful, brilliant Christians.
And I wouldn't say I find it insulting when some Christians question my IQ because they don't really have a reason to do so, and so I just consider it an ad hominum attack someone makes when they run out of arguments. I also know what my IQ is, and it is high enough that I have no reason to be upset by what someone who doesn't know me has to say on the subject.

Education in the south is lacking no matter what religion you are. As for the IQ thing, there's a difference between ignorance and lack of an education, although they do often coincide. I see a lot of people questioning others' intelligence on both sides, to be honest, more so on the Atheist side. Either way no one can prove or disprove anything regarding religion, so what's the point.

No, not at all. I find it rather amusing that they place the whole of their lives, their very being into something that will never come to fruition. Faith requires no proof, just belief. Which I think is the cheap way to make sense of the world around you.
Atheist: How did mankind come to be?
Bibleboy: God
Atheist: How did it do it?
Bibleboy: Dirt
Atheist: And Eve?
Bibleboy: God took one of Adam's ribs and made her.
Atheist: Wow, and why'd they get kicked out of Eden?
Bibleboy: The devil dressed up like a snake and told Eve it was Ok to eat fruit that God said not to eat.
Atheist: Hah, you're #%$^@ retarded!

"it has been proven over and over again that the low IQ's belong to the Christians"
I would be very interested to see your references concerning this.

Frankly I find it interesting that you are insulting Christians and yet saying how insulting it is to have people critisize YOUR intelligence. Anyway, I find it insulting to have anyone question my intelligence, not just someone I don't see eye to eye with about religion. I think both belief systems have people in them that could use some education and some humble pie. But maybe that's just me.

No, I know that I'm intelligent and I know that I'm willing to learn new things.
I think that there are lots of very intelligent theists (and that includes Christians) so I don't like to say that they are less intelligent.

Neither atheist nor Christian here, but I'd like to see the evidence that you are citing about IQ and Christianity. What journal articles, for example, demonstrate this?

Hey I completely agree, but the problem down south is that there are more of them. And they have more money and power to push their agenda. So we end up looking like that blubbering idiot Colmes on that Faux News show Hannity & Colmes.
