red tea is not actually tea, it comes from the african red bush, and is called rooibos.

That depends on what you're looking to get from drinking either of them.
Red tea contains no caffeine and has been shown to help ease cases of insomnia, irritability, headaches, nervous tension and hypertension.
Black tea is generally stronger in flavor and contains more caffeine than the less oxidized teas.
