Speeding!

An older lady gets pulled over for speeding...

Older Woman:
Is there a problem, Officer?

Officer:
Ma'am, you were speeding.

Older Woman:
Oh, I see.

Officer:
Can I see your license please?

Older Woman:
I'd give it to you but I don't have one.

Officer:
Don't have one?

Older Woman:
Lost it, 4 years ago for drunk driving.

Officer:
I see...Can I see your vehicle registration papers please.

Older Woman:
I can't do that.

Officer:
Why not?

Older Woman:
I stole this car.

Officer:
Stole it?

Older Woman:
Yes, and I killed and hacked up the owner.

Officer:
You what?

Older Woman:
His body parts are in plastic bags
in the trunk if you want to see.

The Officer looks at the woman and slowly
backs away to his car and calls for back up.
Within minutes 5 police cars circle the car.
A senior officer slowly approaches the car,
clasping his half drawn gun.

Officer 2:
Ma'am, could you step out of your vehicle please!
The woman steps out of her vehicle.

Older woman:
Is there a problem sir?

Officer 2:
One of my officers told me that you have stolen this car
and murdered the owner.

Older Woman:
Murdered the owner?

Officer 2:
Yes, could you please open the trunk of your car, please.

The woman opens the trunk,
revealing nothing but an empty trunk.

Officer 2:
Is this your car, ma'am?

Older Woman:
Yes, here are the registration papers.
The officer is quite stunned.

Officer 2:
One of my officers claims
that you do not have a driving license.

The woman digs into her handbag and pulls out
a clutch purse and hands it to the officer.

The officer examines the license. He looks quite puzzled.

Officer 2:
Thank you ma'am,
one of my officers told me you didn't have a license,
that you stole this car,
and that you murdered and hacked up the owner.

Older Woman:
Bet the liar told you I was speeding, too.

It also seems there are people who lack a soul...
The famous ones you might know: Hitler, Kim jong il, Hillary Clinton, etc. But there are many more who just don't rise to power. Yet, some of these have a sense of humor, not Hillary but I hear Kim Jong Il is a riot. So go figure. Seriously, though, I'm not sure about the soul, but laughter does help health. It is good for lowering blood pressure, people who laugh more get ill less frequently. The last part, frequency of illness, I've always thought could be a chicken-and-egg kind of thing, maybe people are able to laugh more if they are less frequently ill. But supposedly, it helps health. As far as NO sense of humor, here are a couple things: Just because domeone doesn't share the SAME sense of humor, doesn't mean they are lacking, neccesarily, and lack of laughing doesn't mean lack of sense of humor, it could just mean they don't feel comfortable enough in the surrounding to laugh at what they find humorous, or they could be depressed, and the laughter just doesn't come out. Anyway, be careful not to judge, I've found that some people are just very serious at certain times, and when I got to know them, found them to be very funny when not in those situations.

A sense of humor is nothing more than a point of view. Some people have lived a very different life, as you know, than you. Because of this, what is funny to you, may not be funny to them. Then others are just really serious people, and they, from my experiences, are focused on the here and now, and not the later. Is that healthy for the soul? To me, humor, and laughter, while healthy for the entire being, is also a way of relieving stress and simply living for the joy of it. Life sucks at times. But when their is cause, and for those who can keep focused on God even at lows this time is always but I too need to work on that aspect, to be exuberant, laugh out loud and whole heartedly simply because you are alive and well. Yes, I too, forget that all will be made right in the end at times, but then again, laughing is kind of like a constant reminder that it is all okay. Yes, it is good for the soul, and those who seem to lack that aspect, I don't believe they do, they just may not view it the same, or any other number of good reasons that they chose not to laugh. But they will, and they will be happy and jubilant when they do. May the stars light your path.....

People who lack a sense of humor have nothing good to laugh about. Those are the kind of people who don't see much good in life either.

Seems to me that most people have a great sense of humor.

Some things just aren't funny.

Laughter good for the soul ?. . . Oh yeah ! ! !

The why of why some others seem to have a lack of that? Only answer I can think of is . . . we are all individuals...awakening at different times...different layers of awareness.

Laughter brightens and lightens the heart...and it is one way, one form that natural joy is expressed.

My sense of humor seems to be a bit alien to most people, but that doesn't mean that I don't have one.

Because some people have hard lives, a lot of stress, a lot of responsibilities. It's hard to laugh if you're not sure you can pay the next bill.

Sure it is. It takes 13 muscles to smile, and 33 to frown. Why over work?

I'm not sure. In Gnostic Christianity Jesus laughs all the time and is even sometimes referred to as the laughing Jesus.
