If people were a lot shorter back then, then Christ would not be considered a "midget" in the way we consider a person one today. Rather, He would have been about average height for a person in those days. Regardless of His physical stature while on this earth, He is still the biggest of us all. Amen!!

Not a midget, however, in that time the average height was probably somewhere around 4.5 feet, so unless he was a giant for his day (and, thus normal height in ours), yes, he was much smaller than we may anticipate. While we're on the topic, he probably had severe acne as well, along with the rest of the population in his time. You didn't see any facial scrubs or Proactive back then.

While people were shorter during the time of Christ, Jesus was within the normal range for height and weight.

Judas didn't tell the soldiers to just grab the shortest guy in Gethsemane. He had to betray Jesus with a kiss, to point Him our to the soldiers.

Jesus was average, an "everyday man."

If they were all about the same height back then, then how would Jesus be a midget. However, if Jesus or God chose to Jesus could be as small as your mind, ya know.

He could have been a midget.
I don't recall ever seeing anything in biblical texts to indicate his height as compared to the height of those around him.

If he was a midget... do you think he wrestled?

The deragatory slur 'midget' refers to someone who is unusually short in his/her society. Yes, people averaged at lower heights back then, but that doesn't make them little people.

I suppose Jesus was normal height for His day ... perhaps about 5'6" or so.
