THE EASTERN EUROPEAN FIGHTERS ARE HUNGRIER NO DOUBT. THEY COULD BE THE OFF SPRING OF SOME KIND GENETIC EXPERIMENT. IF U LOOK AT AMERICAN BOXERS, THE VAST MAJORITY OF GREAT FIGHTERS CAME FROM POVERTY.
THE MAJORITY OF BIG MEN (AMERICANS) ARE GOING INTO OTHER SPORTS.

its simple enough, the "superpowers" of amateur boxing have traditionally been russia, cuba and the usa.
cuban boxers normally never turn pro,but russians are starting to more and more.also heavyweight boxing is very poor in the usa because most big american athletes are competing in basketball and american football these days because both sports offer large financial rewards without the physical dangers that boxing presents.
america is just not the hotbed for producing great boxers that it was.some will say its a dying sport in the US.you can certainly make a case for this.

Emanuel Stewart talked about the east European fighters being hungrier and more disciplined than their American counterparts. He said they are less likely to stay out partying and come to the gym late.
Let's give Wladimir Klitchko some respect--he's obviously the best out of the group. As far as them fighting each other, Klitchko has expressed a desire to fight the other title-holders. I think u should blame people like Don King who makes more money by not having a unified champion.

Blogbaba figures Europeans capitolized on a low point in American heavyweight boxing. The European system of government funded social programs, including sports programs, is simply far superior to the neo-con exploitation the U.S. Federal government inflicts on the American public. They have better opportunity to train, with facilities that are subsidized by European governments, we in America have the memory of all those Philly gyms and the Kronk in Detroit that have been bankrupted by a parasitic corporate run Federal government that has delegated actual "governing" of the American public to the State governments. When the economic infra structure of the United States was destroyed by corporate greed and outsoucing, a lot of American training facilities went under along with the rest of the economy. Union jobs weren't the only jobs America lost under the neo-con run Federal exploitation of the past two plus decades. Since Reagan, America has been deterioriating.
Sorry, didn't mean to go off on a rant, I simply don't like the upside hanging bloodsuckers in Washington playing the liberals off against the conservatives while they rob the Congressional tax coffers of public funding to enrich their corporate cronies and secure 7 digit jobs for themselves after their terms of "public service" ends.
It's opportunity, not training methods, when your working two jobs to pay the bills, you don't have time to train.

First off, only Nikolai Valuev is Russian. Oleg Maskayev is from Kazakstan and Waldimir Klitschko from the Ukraine. All are talented and trained early. As for the US counterparts, blame it on football and basketball having youth programs geared on grabbing the bigger kids early on and steerin them towards team sports.

Because the heavyweight division is void of talent. It's in the worst shape it's been in possibly in the history of boxing.

because america's good "big" athletes are making a better living playing football or basketball and they need to be introduced to boxing at an earlier age just like they are with these other sports
