In this case, it's up to the insurance company if they want to cover it or not. Most policies state that if you have an accident while the policy is in cancellation status, have a wreck, and then pay your premium current, the decision to afford coverage is up to them. So, you better find out from your insurance company and not here.

Not a good idea. Not only will they not pay the claim, but they could charge you with insurance fraud. You would be better off cancelling the claim & getting a new auto policy. You may want to try a website that compares multiple companies at once to get you the best price. I am paying less than ½ after I did.

Sounds like you are too late. You were driving without proof of insurance, no they aren't going to cover you if you reinstate the policy. That would cost the insurance company money that they are not liable for.

from my personal experience with insurance companies they will find any reason to deny coverage, especially if they know you filed a claim while without coverage offically being in effect...

you can try and get coverage, but i doubt they will cover your accident since you really had no insurance coverage in effect at the time of your accident

You know, there's an old saying that it's better to have insurance up to date and not needing it than to have insurance out of date and needing it. No my friend I'm sorry but they will not cover you!!

Good luck

Were you covered on the date of the accident? If you were, you are covered. If you weren't, you aren't. The only one who can give you a definite answer is your agent. Ask.
