Yes considering global warming, all countries should be encouraged to use nuclear energy.

It is much better than using oil/coal to generate energy.

However, I must say that the main problem is not the ME, they only sell. The EU does not suffer as much as the US because it has invested big time in renewable energy sources.

The main problem is on the buyer's end. It is companies like Exxon Mobil and American auto makers who pay corrupt American politicians to prevent the passage of laws that would require better mileage for cars in the US.

These companies, are the main reason America is so dependent on ME oil.

Doing anything but building renewable green energy takes momentum out of completely converting to that technology and so that makes me say no we shouldn't. My other reason is the fact that nuclear energy isn't safe(because of accidents and terrorists), green or renewable (it will run out someday just like oil) which is why I think it makes the best sense to use green clean power production. I'd be more then happy to pay a bit more on my electric bill if it meant the world wouldn't be destroyed from global warming or pollution.

Yes, the USA should definately build much more nuclear power plants. Red China is now in the process of constructing dozens of nuclear powerplants all over their country to make China independent of fossil fuels. The U.S. should start doing the exact same thing, and more:

The U.S. should perfect Fusion Reactors.

The U.S. should build dozens or more nuclear power plants.

The U.S. should perfect solar, wind, and bio-fuel energy sources.

Nuclear power plants are a safe, effective, and cheap source of power.
