PB first on one side, then J on the other side. Flip the J side to meet the PB side and press lightly. That's just the way I've always done it.

First I spread the peanut-butter on one slice. Then I wipe off the knife on the other slice to keep the peanut-butter out of the jelly jar. Then I spread the jelly on the second slice. Then I mash. I find it easier to spread this way, and less messy.

Peanut butter on one slice of bread then the jelly on the other. I press the pieces together after that. It seems to be the easiest way since I can't spread the jelly correctly if I try to smear it on top of the peanut butter. It just slides all over the place.

two differnet pieces and mash so that you can get an even amount of each without mixing in and getting messy.
cuz if you start to spread the PB on top of jam, and u put the knife back in the PB jar - you;ll put jam in the PB jar.

All on one slice and mash gently.
Oh, and by the way, you might think about laying off the weed for a while.

I always put peanut butter on both sides first. After the PB, I put jelly on top, but only on one side. As to why I do it this way, because I've always done it that way!!

I toast my bread first, then put peanut butter on both sides very quickly, so the pb melts. Then I put jelly on one side and put together. Serve with a huge glass of milk and its the best meal anytime of day.

Peanut butter first--it's easier to spread the jelly on top rather than the other way around. Guess it could just be your personal preference?
