What is actually called and where is it located?

It's about four times smaller than the one in Paris, the arc you are referring to is located at Washington Square Park in Greenwich Village. If you stand at the arc and look north, that is Fifth Avenue. It's where Fifth Avenue starts and it is in the midst of the NYU campus.

I dont think the one in Manhattans Washington Square park has a specific name but there is definitely a small one there---for something REALLY like an arc de triomphe there is a huge arch in Brooklyn, NY at Grand Army Plaza which is very impressive to see. Many people dont realize though because they forget that NYC is more than just manhattan

The washington square arch is on the North side of Washington Square Park at Fifth Avenue

There are two arches in New York that fit that description (I can't see your link). One is the Grand Army Plaza Arch in Brooklyn near Prospect Park

I think its by Greenwich Village, in Washington Square Park. Not sure what its called... will wait for someone else to tell you that part!
