why anyone would pray to a dead pope is beyond me.... no dead man can 'save' someone from illness or disease thru prayer...
if she is healed, perhaps it was because she actually prayed to God thru Jesus....

Praying for somebody else has been shown to be ineffective, not so praying for yourself. Praying for yourself is like meditation and has been demonstrated to have some positive, healing effect.
That said, it really doesn't matter whether you pray to a dead pope or the coke machine. It's not about what you pray to, it's the person praying that matters.
And then there's the disease. What was it? Even cancer sometimes goes into remission. Well, screw it, the whole saints business is the Catholic Church's franchise - if they have standards they'll apply them.

I remember reading that her condition is misdiagnosed about 50% of the time. Also, I haven't seen any evidence from doctors saying she had it and now she doesn't - and I don't know how often the condition reverses itself anyway. Also, was she being treated at all?
Overall, I'm highly skeptical.

She and the Catholic church want John Paul II to be recognized as a saint because of his popularity and will lie to push through his sainthood.
Why didn't this all come out when the alleged "miracle" occurred?
There is no credible documention from doctors.

Aren't you supposed to be praying to God instead of the Pope?

Why don't you post a link to the article so I can make up my mind. There isn't enough information here for me to make a conclusive or fair opinion.

Lets see what the Vatican scientists and doctors say. It is after all their job to disprove miracles.
