Warts are a very common problem. Almost 10% of the total population will have at least 1 or two wart on their bodies. Planter Warts are small epidermic growths caused by viruses - they are infectious and affect children most frequently. Warts and nevi are blemishes and mar the face. Most warts, disappear spontaneously without any treatment. It is because of this, that there are several claims of marvelous cures. You just have to listen to old wives tales and you may well believe that it is possible to get rid of planter warts by blowing on them nine times on a full-moon night, or by rubbing them with horses tails. Many of the modern remedies are not really any better either. So only if the wart is inconvenient, or particularly embarrassing or painful or spreading rapidly then only it should be removed. Otherwise I think, they are best left alone- in all probability they would disappear with time without any scars.
Warts are simple afflictions, not a threat to life, but they can be quite troublesome and may cripple the smooth running of day to day life, if one is over conscious of them. While there is a slight danger of complications developing in these extra growths of skin, by and large, they are influenced by simple cures.
What are Planter Warts?
Planters warts occur on the bottom or sole of the foot. As planter warts are under pressure from standing and walking, planters warts grow inward, often causing great discomfort and pain.
Besides the cosmetic aspect, plantars wart, being painful, do not permit the sufferer to walk properly, the weight-bearing areas are painful and cannot take any pressure, resulting in uneven weight distribution to other areas of the feet which are not supposed to transmit the body weight. The result is obvious. The way of walking of a person becomes faulty and his feet arches are strained. This further leads to mal alignments of the joints and eventually may become one of the causes of arthritis.
Warts on the feet tend to be painful because they get trodden on. The warts on feet are only called planter warts. So these should be removed by your doctor immediately - the small planter warts can be removed straight away, but the large ones would need to be first softened with some chemicals like salicylic acid before they are removed. The process of removal of planter warts is slightly painful but the doctor is likely to give you anesthesia injection locally to make the area numb. Now, newer methods like cryotherapy and laser therapy are also available to treat these genetal warts. Right now there is no safe and effective oral medication is yet available for treatment of warts. Right now you can Try out the product given below. It will definitely help you in improving the wart
How is Planter Warts caused?
Planter warts are caused by the virus (human papilloma virus, HPV) that causes other infections such as vaginitis and other genital wart viruses, detectable with a cone biopsy. Planter Warts are contagious. The condition stems from HPV virus and results in painful growths on the bottom of the foot. This virus can be acquired in warm moist environments and if often associated with using public places such as showers and pools. Planter warts are caused by the virus that causes other infections such as vaginitis and other genital wart viruses, detectable with a cone biopsy.
Planter warts can be differentiated from a simple callus (hardened area of skin) by characteristic dark specks (thrombosed capillaries) in the center.
Planter Wart Symptoms
Some of the planter wart symptoms include the following:
Planter Wart often have a black dot in the center, surrounded by a hard, white area. The dot is the blood supply to the wart, and the white area is the skin of the wart that is closely packed together.
Pain while walking.
Pain is characteristic of both corns and warts. If you press a corn vertically on the top with a blunt object, it is markedly tender; whereas in planter warts tenderness is felt when pressed from the sides.
Treatment for Removal of Planter Warts
While seeking for treatment of warts, it is important to remember that warts can disappear spontaneously. This is specially true of plane warts in children where the therapy is not only disappointing but may result in scars. It is, therefore, worthwhile waiting for a few years before considering actual treatment of warts in the case of children. The treatment of planter warts consists in eliminating them either by chemical lotion or physical means. A peeling agent like 4 per cent sulphur calamine lotion or Retino A cream applied daily, may be all that is needed to remove planter warts.
Freezing the wart with liquid nitrogen or carbon-snow is another effective method of treating planter wart. Planter warts can also be treated by curettage combined with electro-cautery. More conservative methods like application of Salicylic acid in paste form under occlusion daily for two to three weeks may also cure planter warts.

Plantars warts are very painful. There are many home remedies for plantars warts but they don't always work. Some suggestions are to put duct tape on them for several weeks at a time, I tried it and it does help the wart to diminish in size, but keeping the tape on there is not easy. Another remedy I heard which, I didn't try is to take Pepcid AC. They say that plantars warts are caused by a virus and it has to do with stomach problems and the Pepcid AC helps. I finally went to the doc and had mine removed. Sorry to tell you this but, you might have to suck it up and find a way to get the money to have them removed by a doctor.

Plantar warts (verruca plantaris) are confined to bottoms or sides of the feet. They are generally flat due to being pushed upward into the foot by the body's weight. They are frequently very painful. This is because the wart virus is actually part of your skin and the nerves are intertwined with the skin tissue. The wart is actually much larger than what is visible to the naked eye. You can push on it and see more of a yellowish color to find out how big it actually is. Because it is on the bottom of your foot, it makes it very difficult and painful to get rid of.
Blood vessels actually form in the virus tissue to keep it alive. You might see a black spot in the center of it. That is the blood vessels feeding the virus. Plantar warts are very contagious due to the cells being sloughed off at a rate higher than any other wart and the virus remains stable in a favorable environment such as; a warm, wet gym shower floor. Many athletes contact plantar warts in a similar fashion as they contact athletes foot (a fungal disorder). Plantar warts are often confused with bunions. Diabetic patients have a high incidence of plantar warts and athletes have the highest incidence.
Laser Surgery
Warts can be removed through laser but this treatment may leave a scar, and can be painful. A stream of laser light is directed at the infected site to destroy the wart. May not destroy viral root and wart may return.
Electro-cauterization
A heated electric wire is applied to the growth and destroys the wart. I don’t even need to discuss how much this hurts.
Canthardin Treatments
Your doctor may use cantharidin on your warts. With this treatment, the doctor "paints" the chemical onto the wart. Most people don't feel any pain when the chemical is applied to the wart. You'll experience severe pain and blistering of the wart in about 3 to 8 hours. After treatment with cantharidin, a bandage or tape is put over the wart. The bandage can be removed after 24 hours. When mixtures of cantharidin and other chemicals are used, the bandage is removed after 2 hours. When you see your doctor again, he or she will remove the dead skin of the wart. If the wart isn't gone after one treatment, your doctor may give you another treatment. This method is extremely painful and uncomfortable with a varying success rate.
Surgical Excision
First the wart area is injected with Lidocaine to numb it. This procedure alone is very painful. Then the wart is removed by cutting out the infected area, usually leaving a scar.
Cryosurgery or Freezing with Nitrogen
Warts may be frozen with liquid nitrogen but will require several visits to the doctor's office. Liquid nitrogen is applied directly to the wart in order to freeze the growth and destroy the infected tissue. This procedure is very painful and in some cases requires that an injection of Lidocaine to numb the area before the freezing procedure can begin. The numbing treatment sometime hurts as much as the freezing. Especially in plantar’s warts. There is generally scarring with this procedure.
40% Salicylic Acid, Nitric Acid, etc.
Warts can be treated with salicylic or nitric acid solution but you must apply the acid every day for many weeks. Extreme burning, scarring and enlargement of wart tissue are common. This is a common method used, and there are many over the counter product available that contain these acids. Unfortunately, they are only about 30% effective in wart treatment.
