ford explorer 2003 why the start key don't turn back to lisent the stereo and why the door bell keeps ringing

if you turn the key foward one time you can hear the stereo but the door bell rings all the time if you turn the key twice all the lights turn on .. so my question is: can you hear music without the door bell ringing..... and does this model of truck doesn't turn the key back ?

make sure the vehicle is in the park position slightly depress on the key switch while rotating counter clock wise and should be in accesory position at this time. Sometimes you may have to jiggle the steering wheel t'il it turns.

The new vehicles have the accessory position as one stop forward of lock. As for the door chime ringing either close the doors or deal with it, its a normal thing.
