It all depends on where you wish to go with your life. Both have aviation fields, medical, police, information gathering and systems. Only real difference is the primary area of operation, sea or land, please note I used primary area. I know the Navy has ground operations and the Army has water ops. The Navy does have better travel options though. So will the military be your life or will you go on to a university and then the private sector? Look to where you wish to be in 10 years and which branch will provided the most revelant experience.

I'm biased as a former US Naval Officer (Mustang) and would recommend the Naval Academy.

However... I think BOTH are fine schools. BOTH branches offer similar eductional opportunities. ALSO, you CAN select to take a commission in the Navy upon graduation from West Point, and visa versa !!

I'll hold my parochial bias in check until December 1st 2007... then I shall proudly shout "GO NAVY, BEAT ARMY !!"

Depends on what technical skills your seeking for yourself. The degree programs offered are different.

PS. I would think it would be the NAVY. I was in the Army for years, but I know there is only 3 degree programs I beleieve at USMA, all geared toward enginerring.

Do you want to get shot at? or do you want to sit off a coast and launch rockets?

Do you want to live in Fayetteville, NC
or do you want to live in Hampton Roads, VA?

ask yourself that.

Pay and advancement are very similar for officers no matter what branch... and i dont suggest you take any job because of pay alone anyhow.

Navy is more technical hands down. Officer's of any military branch have good turn around rates for gettin jobs.

Good luck

Both Academies are serving different purposes. You go to one that meets what you want to do.
