According to CBS, over half the people living there are illegally here, as well. Kind of hinders making a stink, don't you think?

Chee, this and a sister city are using the same police, and tow company, and Maywood, more than half illegally here or not, is the only one raising a stink. I think the sister city is in even worse shape. However, these sort of towns don't belong in the US. The corrupt can and do use the fact that illegals here can't complain to create political systems that are common south of the border but aren't common or wanted here.

Maywood is a disaster, in all respects.
A great start to cleaning it up would be to open an ICE station there and REALLY let the hammer drop. Round up the illegals and start the deportations.
As for the cops? If they truly are corrupt, they need to be replaced.

Look at the edcation and poverty level in Maywood. Lack of education and lack of money, which normally leads from lack ofeducation breeds crime. People who have nothing and no means of getting it will do anything to get what they need. (Crime)
Steel food, sell drugs, prostitution. So many single parent families live there also. When mom works two orthree jobs to srvive who parents the kids? If someone from the street says come on over and tell me if you see police car and I will pay you, feed you, cloth you, be your friend what will a kid do who is looking for acceptance/family to be around?
Crime is not their directive but they are sucked in, bcase of lack of family, lac of education, and a need for a void to be filled. housing is cheap in Maywood so a lot of ppor live there only adding to the problem.
Paoviso schools do wonders with what they get. However, when there is no support for education from home. Kids see little value to education, because the gangbangers who are making it make more than their teachers, and kids come into high school with third grade readning levels ot makes the area look even less attractive from the outside thus no new money comes in. And of late the school board has pulled the higher scoring kids out to go to the Academy. What will hapen to test scores? They drop, duhhhh. house prices drop more, more poor families move in, and the problem continues to siral out of control.

Honey, I'm from Chicago, so nothing surprises me. I just saw on my local news an offduty Chicago cop beat the crap out of a female bartender for refusing service to his drunk butt. It was all caught on the security camera and he was twice her size and punched and kicked her repeatedly. Now there is some sort of coverup going on and high ranking police officials are getting demoted. Relax, it's everywhere. And, yes, it sucks.

The article almost sounds nonsensical:
What does it mean when a police officer impregnates a police explorer? Explorer as in the Ford SUV?
And, what about the police officer having a sexual liason with a donut shop owner? Sounds like a stereotypical joke.

I am not quite sure how you are relating one to the other or that illegals want crooked cops? Bad cops flourish everywhere as do illegal aliens, so what is your point?

That was an interesting read. I feel bad for the people who live there. The citizens deserve much better than that.
