Not phychic? She was a member of the choir that was created by her sister. More than 60 years of attendance at the same parish, they know when to send requests for donations even now.

They know she is ill. I was taking her to church when she could walk up the steps.

I think they are just showing their true colors. I have mentioned it to them and still no one comes.

I was brought up catholic, but now i am non-denominational Christian.
But in the old days, they did visit; nowadays I don't know that they do anything at all.
My mom was brought up Methodist, so our Catholic church says she can't be buried with the rest of us. Thats a good enough reason for me not to ever want to enter the church again. Not to mention that they teach contrary to Gods Word.
If I hear them teach that Eve ate an apple one more time, I think I will vomit.
Anyway, sorry for the mini-rant.
Do they know she's ill? Maybe they are being polite and not intruding on your family home unless you call them and say she's sick? I'm trying really hard to give them the benefit of the doubt.....

I'm sorry to hear that.
Many people, even with religion are uncomfortable around illness. Dementia especially. Friends that are her age may see be especially uncomfortable knowing that the ravages of time may visit them or their loved ones next.
At any rate, please call the clergy and tell them how much you mom would enjoy a visit. It's surprisingly easy for pastors to get overwhelmed with the day to day business of the church. Call her friends from the choir too and ask them to visit. (Incidentally, most requests for donations are done automatically these days with addresses in a database, pretty impersonal)
My thoughts are with you, I know this must be impossibly hard for you.

Has your family requested a visitation from a Catholic clergyman? I do not believe they will visit without an invitation - out of respect for the privacy of the ill and their families.
I know these are emotional times but, regardless, you would do well to give the benefit of the doubt to the Catholic Clergyment in question.

Because the Catholic Church cares only for her donations, which she probably has given recently. It is a money-mongering institution after all. I mean, the Pope wears a Rolex.

I can't tell you why no one has visited. Not much compassion and care for fellow human beings in that church....

Too bad she isn't still an embryo, then they would give her plenty of attention.

Why don't you phone them and TELL them. They will come if you do. They are not psychic.
