Ever wonder if artists had their own patriarch saint? Or if lovers with broken hearts did?

I tried to playfully answer this, at least the lover's one, several years ago with this painting. She's dressed as a harleguin, as a clown, because sometimes being in love makes us seem so comical to others. Sometimes it make us do foolish things.

Have any of you fellow artists had your heart broken? If so, did you convey what you were going through on canvas or paper?

im more of a painter then a writer, but it's funny that you should ask, because when my heart was broken all i did was write. it came more natural to express my feeling that way then with pictures, so my answer is paper.
