You may have what I call "bad saliva." Consult your dentist, as she can prescribe antimicrobial products (toothpaste, mouthwash) to help combat the problem.
FYI: Lots of things can cause bad breath.
For example, what you eat affects the air you exhale, ie, garlic and onions. Once the food is absorbed into the bloodstream, it is transferred to the lungs, where it is expelled. Brushing, flossing and mouthwash will only mask the odor temporarily. Odors continue until the body eliminates the food. .
If you don't brush and floss daily, particles of food remain in the mouth, collecting bacteria, which can cause bad breath. Food that collects between the teeth, on the tongue and around the gums can rot, leaving an unpleasant odor. Dentures that are not cleaned properly can also harbor odor-causing bacteria and food particles.
One of the warning signs of periodontal (gum) disease is persistent bad breath or a bad taste in the mouth.
Bad breath is also caused by "dry mouth" (xerostomia), which occurs when the flow of saliva decreases. Saliva is necessary to cleanse the mouth and remove particles that may cause odor. Dry mouth may be caused by some medicines, salivary gland problems or mouth breathing.
Tobacco products cause bad breath, stain teeth, reduce one's ability to taste foods and irritate gum tissues. Tobacco users are also more likely to suffer from periodontal disease.
Bad breath may be the sign of a medical disorder like a local infection in the respiratory tract, chronic sinusitis, postnasal drip, chronic bronchitis, diabetes, GI problems, or liver & kidney problems.

Floss, brush your tongue, use an electric toothbrush, and ya might want to see a dentist or doctor about the problem. It could be that you have some tooth decay that is leading to the bad breath, or else you could have an infection. If you have a cold or allergies and experience post nasal drip, this can lead to bad breath. There may be a health problem if you already floss and brush your tongue but still have halitosis.

First, go to the dentist have your teeth and gums evaluated.
Gum (perio) disease can cause bad breath, decayed teeth and infection can smell bad too. If these problems exist they will need to be resolved to help with the odor problem.
Second some medical conditions can cause bad breath. If the problem is not dental go to the doctor.
In the meantime try Breath RX it is a really good mouthwash that targets bad breath. Go to
http://www.drugstore.com
put breathrx in the search bar and you can read about the product and purchase it if desired.
Good luck!

First, see a dentist. Usually bad breath is from some problems with your teeth or gums. Floss is the next thing. There is a new mouthwash out for kids that shows areas they have not brushed well. The areas turn blue from the mouthwash, shows the areas you missed. It works great and I use it. (Due to my grand kids, try it thing. he he) Also make sure you brush as far back onto your tongue as possible. Most of your germs come from there, with that is the Oder.
Good Luck and happy brushing

Bad breath is caused often because you haven't brushed and flossed well .If you don't keep teeth and gums free of the bacterial buildup, they'll start to cause odor as the bacteria rot leftover food particles in your mouth. A few seeds of cardamon chewed for a brief while will clear your mouth of bad breath. Chew parsley leaves, which are sure to keep your breath fresh. it is your digestive tract that does this as well as what you eat.
your dentist has things that can help and good dental health can help as well.
brushing EVERY time you eat, including snacks etc. will help tremendously, (the food stuck between your teeth start to smell) have you ever flossed something in left in your teeth after a few days? it really stinks, that is what people are smelling when you talk to them.
1. rinse with plax or plaqe remover
2. brushing after eating
3. flossing 2-3 times daily
4. mouthwash
and 2-3 dental cleanings a year as well as making sure you have no cavities.
also a chat with him regarding your breath and what you may take for that.

It sounds like it might be a stomach issue. Acid reflux can cause you to have bad breath too.
You can also try one of those tongue brushes. It looks like floss, but is used to scrap your tongue. I do not know if you floss, but you might try that as well.
If you use mouthwash, do not use Listerine. The alcohol in it can give some people worse breath. There is one call Dr. Hauschka. It is natural and works well.

Chronic bad breath can be caused by an underlying medical condition.
I'd recommend seeing your dentist and your doctor. The dentist can determine if it's a problem in your mouth, and your doctor can perform some tests to see if it's in your digestive tract.
This is not only embarrassing, it could be a potential health risk. Make your appointments now.

A good sign of gum disease the reason why it gets bad after you brush is because you have opened up the gums where the smell is being stored. The only way to get rid of this is to go to the dentist for treatments depending on how bad it is it could take quite a few treatments they do them in quadrants and they can only do one quadrant at a time... I hope this helps ~ Good Luck
