Personally not be impressed. Hopefully she did not respond back to him and that she found the attention unwanted too. I would have a word with him, tell him it was out of order and if he wants to carry on like that you two will not be going to the same places as you and that he will not be welcome to spend time with you when he has been drinking too much.

I would definitely confront him (calmly), however you should only hold people accountable for the fact that they chose to use drugs or alcohol abusively. Being high or drunk clouds your mind and judgment. Being sound and sober is completely different. His reaction when you confront him should give you your answer. He should be remorseful and placing blame on the alcohol! If anything went down, though, fault your girlfriend entirely & lose the friendship!

It happened to me onced. I was the gf of a guy who had a friend who tried raping me while i passout from the party. We gotten home really late and my boyfriend had me lay down while he was helping his friend get settled; the friend was drunk too. I guess my boyfriend was in the bathroom or something, but his friend come in to our room and started kissing me, but my eyes were closed and think nothing of it and thought it was my boyfriend, you know, but it was his friend. My boyfriend beat the living **** out of him and told him to get out the room as quickly as he can. He didnt throw him out the door because he was drunk, but the next day he told him friend he wants nothing to do with him ever again. Second time that happends, this time is my husband now. After we got married, we went out dancing and continued our fun with our friends, etc. Well hubby got really drunk and started smootching with my gf, I was so mad I jerked him off, and no sex on our honeymoon night.

I'd be mad, but I guess under the circumstances, I'd give a long time friend one more chance. I'd tell him his behavior is completely unacceptable, but you will let it go ONCE because he was drunk. Let him know he gets no 2nd chances. Even if you and your girlfriend don't last--how can you trust a friend who hits on your girlfriend?

Well I'd give him the benefit of the doubt coz he was drunk and if he tried it again i'd let him know how i feel but if he has the guts to try it a third time i'd kick his *** to the curb.

If a friend of mine tried to come on to my partner, she would no longer be considered my friend ... it doesn't matter if they were drunk.

As long as it was just tried on then I would leave it and put it down to the drink. If it went any further then it maybe slightly different.

Assuming that my girlfriend did not want his advances, I'd intervene gently, pointing out to my friend that both she and I wanted him to stop and perhaps his energies would be better spent elsewhere.
