The shelter where I adopted him says he's a Basenji mixed with stray. The basenji I definitely see but The other part I can't tell. I started searching dog breeds and to me he looks like Basenji/Canaan mix, Can I post a pic and someone can tell me what they think?

Just for the record, Eww I have no idea is not a suggestion so I could have done without your comment. To everyone else, he is 55 lbs and he is bigger than what is typically basenji. (25-35 lbs) I dont think he has chihuahua in him because hes too big for that. He looks like he has some lab also. Please keep the suggestions coming. Thanks

He gets the ears from the basenji. There are many dogs that have the ears like that besides chihuahuas. I looked up Australian cattle dog and I see a resemblence. Does anyone see the resemblence with the canaan? Im loving all the feed back, keep 'em coming

Basenji is in there, since you have no side view, I'm guessing at the body style, but Chihuahua looks to be part of him too... cute dog.

Sorry I never seen a Basenji, but it looks like he has ears of a chuachua, . sorry I couldn't help but he is a great looking dog, and seems healthy.
