There are 2 suppliers of equipment for this purpose . Apple has the Apple TV but this just works with I-tunes another is D-Link they have the Media lounge which will allow you access to most of your computer content. Especially if you use the Tversity media server rather than the supplied server software that comes with it.

Recently came out by Apple was Apple TV. It's a wireless box thingo (hard to explain) that syncs with your computers itunes program. You plug the box into your tv using AV cables and it wirelessly syncs automatically as soon as you ad something to your itunes its on your Apple TV. You can put music, movies, podcasts and just about everything on there. It does come at a cost though of about US$360.

You can buy an Xbox 360 and it will allow you to stream movies from your computer to the Xbox 360 or buy Apple TV.

If your PC graphics card has a video output port (S-video, component, etc...) there are a few companies that make wireless video/audio transmitter/receiver sets. Here is a typical set. Try googling "audio and video wireless"

Use your TV as your PC monitor. Do you have VGA connector on your TV? Then use it.
