I have had 2 cats (brother and sister, both fixed) for the last 4 years (since birth). They have always gotten along. They would play fight, but that's it.
On Wednesday of last week, we got my dads dog while they are away for a week. The cats have been around him before and didn't really pay much attention.
Yesterday, my female cat keeps attacking my male cat (he's always been the dominant one). We're talking full fledge cat fight. My male cat spent the majority of yesterday in the ceiling of my basement and wouldn't come down. He came out last night before bed, and sassy went after him again! We locked Sassy in the basement for the night and took her out again and put her near him and she started hissing again.
She has scared the crap out of thunder to the point where when he saw her this morning (even though we were holding her) he ran under the spare bed and peed. Same with last night, as soon as he saw her, he got scared and peed all over the bathroom (the litter box is

there). His urine is very strong smelling.
Could she be pushing him away because she senses something is wrong with him? Or is there something wrong with her? Niether of them seem to bother with the dog so I don't think it has to do with him.
We have a 5 month old daughter and I can't have these cats fighting like they are....
