Many national parks around the world face conflicts between protection and human use.Describe the reasons why this is a particular problem in Banff National Park.

From the report issued on Banff National park;
"recognition that the concentration of development in the montane valley bottom near the town of Banff was causing serious problems for the whole park."

------National parks worldwide face challenges from the local people infringing on the park through causing the air, water and forest contamination. The need of the local economy over the need to preserve the park is causing increase in the cost to the tax payer to protect and maintain the park. The loss of this biodivese area will impact the gobal warming

"The current rates of growth in visitor numbers and development, if allowed to continue, will cause serious and irreversible harm to Banff National Park's ecological integrity. Stricter limits to growth than those already in place must be imposed if Banff is to continue as a national park...."

-----You need to make the park using population, more responible for the health of the park that they use and abuse. Education on park usage and the need to keep the area. The government needs to limit the tourist and useage of the park to a level at which this useage does not impact the health of the park, its inhabitats and the envirorment.
