Women don't like confrontational stuff (generally speaking) and will be oblique with a tendency to lie (if at all) to make you feel comfortable.
Men tend towards confrontation (again, there are exceptions) and also have a tendency to lie to make themselves feel comfortable.
Men, as the above poster states, are not entirely straight forward.
Usually, men don't communicate in ways which require de-coding. I think this is the main issue of your question.
Women will tend to communicate in a complex fashion and at a number of different levels, or at least not as directly so they can (if they so desire) backtrack or re-interpret what they have said.
